Welcome to the TRB-MUX Wiki. We are an old World of Darkness game running TinyMUX 2.6, set in Miami in 1998. If you're looking for a newbie-friendly RP game to play, you've come to the right place! This site holds resources on setting, theme, characters and events for the game. Currently the entirety of staff lives in the United States, so there will be times that staff will not be available. What is a MUX?
A MUX or a MUD or a MUCK or a MUSH all boil down to a text-based server where people play a game, and in this case, it's the Old World of Darkness game setting. What you're looking at is a telnet address to connect to the server where the game is hosted. To connect, you can use a telnet client such as PuTTy, or you can use programs meant for MU*s, such as...
- MushCLIENT
- BeipMU
- SimpleMU
- cMud
- zMud
- For Macintosh: Trebuchet
- For Macintosh: GMud32 Mac
- For Macintosh: Atlantis
And very many others! There are even apps for mu* clients on smartphones. When you open the client, you plug in the game information (omen.digitalgenesis.com for the address, 1222 for the port) and connect! Logging in is a simple matter of typing 'connect guest guest' to just pass by and check out the place, or 'create <a new username> <your desired password> if you want to make an account with us for good!
How do I work this thing?
- Talking to people on the public channel: Type "pub message here."
- Talking to individuals one on one: Type "page name(s) = message."
- See who is online: Type the word "WHO."
You can use those commands to speak with anybody in the game and learn more about how to use it!
